This is an awesome project! I’m a novice in the sewing department, but found this pattern to be fairly simple overall, with just enough difficulty to keep me interested. I love it! The only modification (if you can call it that) is that I didn’t cut it off to the midcalf. I prefer longer skirts and dresses, so I gave it a one inch hem, which was perfect.
I just ordered some fabric online from fabric.com to make the sleeveless version. This is my first online fabric purchase – I hope I’m not disappointed. Here’s a look at the swatch:

So. I finally gave in to my extremely annoying vision issues – distance vision sucks, but it always has and now, my close vision has hit the skids, which means eye makeup/eyebrow grooming is next to impossible. Anyhow, I bought one of those little girly shavers that are for facial and, ahem, certain below the belt grooming issues. I bought it with my eyebrows in mind, but I digress. I tried it out this morning and I’m happy to report that it worked like a charm, except that….along with the unibrow, I’m missing a bit of my left eyelashes. Apparently eyelashes get in the way and if you’re not careful, this is what happens.
I guess now we’ll find out how long it takes for lashes to grow back.😋
