Hi everyone and welcome to It’s Playing Catch Up Thursday. I hope you enjoy it!
I admit it. I’m not particularly proud of it, but it is what it is. When I start a new project, I become totally laser focused on it and pretty much everything else falls by the wayside – knitting, exercising, human contact, whatever – total tunnel vision. That’s how it has been the past week or so. Total focus on this dress –
This is another take on Christine Jonson’s Wrap Dress, a Craftsy kit, sleeveless this time. I think I’ll test wear it today, just to make sure everything is working together like I want it to. The fabric is from fabric.com. Go here for a look at the fabric up close. Maybe now I can get a move on my Lineal Cardi. It’s been languishing the past little bit. At least it’s been in good company! 😋
The Bangkok branch of the fam will be finally be state-side 6/28 for a visit. Mr. iknead and I can hardly wait to get our hands on them. Lots of hugs and kisses, lots of look how you’ve grown! Facetime has been a lifesaver, but it’s no substitute for the real thing. It’s about time to hit the store to pick up preferred treats that aren’t available in Bangkok or just too freaking expensive to keep around the house. Think $8.00 bags of Fritos. 😱😱😱 You can bet that they’ll be returning to Bangkok with a suitcase full of goodies! 13 days!!!
Better Late Than Never
Happy belated (yesterday) birthday to our favorite son-in-law, Rev. Clefton Vaughan. He’s an amazing father of three, husband of one and minister to untold numbers. He can ALMOST be all things to all people and we love him more than we can say! Happy birthday, Clefton! Can’t wait to see you!
Did I mention his sweet tooth?
Last week the candle factory burned down. Everyone just stood around and sang Happy Birthday. Stephen Wright
