Hi ya’ll and welcome to Not What I Wanted to See, Whatcha Workin’ On? 5-17-17, MOMM*. I hope you like it!
So, my Embossed Leaves socks are finally finished, including washing and blocking. Yay me, right?? If that was your first reaction, you’d be wrong, just like I was. Funny thing – as I was getting ready to take them off the blockers I gave them a quick once over and noticed this
Yep – it’s a dropped stitch all right. I suppose I should be glad that it did’nt drop down the entire foot! So, officially, this pair of socks is a WIP. Crap. It should be easy enough to fix; don’t you hate it when you find a mishap in a project after you’ve patted yourself on the back for the great job you’ve done??
If the yarn in the next photo looks familiar, it is. So far, I think this is about the third project cast on for this particular yarn. I just don’t seem to be able to match a pattern to this really awesome yarn. Hope does spring eternal! though, so I’m hoping that this pair will be THE perfect match and pattern (Slipstream) and Yarn (Tomfoolery) will live happily ever after.
Here’s a quick look at what’s happening on the art table at the moment –
Tiny blank journal
Tim Holtz man on unicycle stamp
Tissue paper background applied with matte medium and then trimmed to fit.
Vintage dictionary page for background, applied with matte medium and trimmed to fit.
Black script stamp
Travel themed stamp and stickers
One More Thing….
Thanks to Michelle over at Michelle’s Romantic Tangle for adding her link last week. She always has something enviable to show off and I so appreciate her adding her linkies. Ya know – you, too, can be part of the fun by adding a link or two….. I’m just sayin’…..
The more I like a book, the more reluctant I am to turn the page. Lovers, even book lovers, tend to cling. No one-night stands or “reads” for them. Anatole Broyard.
