As you can see, WIP Wednesday 1-18-17 and Waiting for the Sun is a couple of days late. It’s been started, then put aside, started again and put aside again. I seem to be momentarily out of motivation, which I blame on the gray days we’ve had for a week or so; the sun has returned this morning and hopefully my usual motivation will return with it.
ON MY NEEDLES
Expressions Fiber Arts
Superwash Merino Sock
I fell in love with this colorway when I happened on a facebook post from Expressions and had to order straightaway! I know you know what I’m talking about! 😉. It arrived while Mr. Iknead and I were in Bangkok and was such a nice surprise to come home to.
Mystery Stash Yarn
Cablenet was originally begun using the Gingerbread yarn, but I felt the stitch pattern became lost in the color changes. A stash dive was done, coming up with this lovely coral yarn. The ballband is long gone, unfortunately, but it strongly resembles Jitterbug.
Meanwhile, Socks on a Plane and Smithfield Pullover languish, but their turn will come around again soon. Is it odd that I feel compelled to reassure my WIPs that they haven’t been abandoned?? I think it might be.
I’ve been devouring books lately. I’ve always read a lot – nearly constantly in fact, but my book fetish really comes on strong during the cold and gray days of winter. If my house was burning, after making sure Mr. iknead and the furbabies were safe, I’d probably run to rescue my current read and my current knitting project. Yep, definitely odd. (See above.)
The Sprout starts preschool next week! 😀😢😧. Lots and lots of mixed feelings about this! She’s going to love it, I know, but Bebe wants to hold her close and insist that she stays a little girl, at least for a little while longer. Sigh. She looks very proud in her uniform…..
