Well, don’t mind that terrific crash…..
It was merely the weight of the jetlag that finally collapsed on me. Silly me – patting myself on the back three days after returning home from Bangkok because I was suffering no jetlag and had slipped right back into my routine, seasoned world traveler that I am. Then, at three days, five minutes after returning, every cell in my body is screaming for sleep, I’m nodding off midword and the canned beets (wth!!) in my pantry that I mistakenly bought a few years ago are starting to sound better and better; anything to keep from having to actually get dressed, abandon my favorite chair and form a coherent sentence. Yeah…… those beets are sounding pretty good right about now. 😍😍😍
It wasn’t until I was looking over the photos I took that I realised I couldn’t remember the last time I blogged, what with travel, church, cooking, taking off with Mr. iknead to explore the city (we felt VERY smart the first time we rode the BTS without supervision and then found our way back to the house from the station.)👨🏻🎓👩🏼🎓🎓🎓🎓 And the grands! The grands and all the book reading, song singing, snuggles, giggles, Christmas cookie baking, gingerbread house decorating and Santa anticipation!!!
So, here are a few I snapped –
Santa at Dean and DeLuca Bangkok
Giving their letters to Santa
Peach visits Santa for the first time.
Ice cream in December??? What’s that all about??
The Sprout, Peach and the Papoose
Yep – it’s Mr. Iknead and me with three of our five grands. I think this photo sums up the personality of each grand perfectly – The Sprout says ” yeah, prove it.” The Papoose says “I don’t know about this,” and Baby Emma says, “What? Me, worry??” 😍😍😍
Can you stand the cute???
Three months old on Christmas Day
Peach wants to know what this hap hap happiest season of all is all about.
So, Christmas in Bangkok was amazing, if a little weird. Sandals and shorts in December?? We got home all in one piece, the house was still standing and Mr. iknead and I were still married, so I call it a success. Now we’re planning our next visit……
More pics to come!
There’s more, much more, to Christmas
Than candlelight and cheer;
It’s the spirit of sweet friendship
That brightens all year.
It’s thoughtfulness and kindness,
It’s hope reborn again,
For peace, for understanding
And for goodwill to men!
