Whatcha Workin’ On? Wednesday #71, Booklove 10-12-16

Hi, you all!  Welcome to Whatcha Workin’ On? Wednesday #71, Booklove 10-12-16.  I hope you have as much fun reading this post as I did writing it.

I’m still knitting on my Cloud Chaser Vest.  The back is complete and I got started on the right front last night.

Encore Worsted

The Green Gable Socks are coming along nicely.  I cast on during the first leg of my recent trip to Bangkok, attracting a bit of attention from the two Asian men who were my seatmates.  One of them actually showed them around the cabin – my guess is that they were traveling in a group – since he was speaking Chinese, I don’t know what the comments were, so I’m going to believe they were all positive….😊

Lorna’s Laces Solemate Yarn

Then there are  my Kew socks.  The first of the pair is finished and off the needles and I’ll be starting on the heel of its mate in a couple rows.  Love this pattern!

I’ve got a bit of everything going – cooking, rowing, medical, sci-fi, holy, horror and JFK assassination.  I like to cover all my bases! 😋😋😋  I call myself an omnibibliovore (how’s that for a word??).  Therefore, I plugged it into my faithful Merriam Webster and came up empty handed.  Surely, I didn’t coin this word because it’s too sensible and descriptive to NOT be a word.

The jet lag I’ve been suffering since returning from my Bangkok adventure is slowly improving.  This morning I slept until 3:30 before waking up to start my day.  I know this doesn’t sound like much of an improvement, but it’s better than the 1:30 am waking that’s been happening since I got back.  💤💤💤

That’s Peter Panda photobombing – the Papoose was Star Student of the week and one of the perks is bringing Peter home for the weekend to include him in family activities and then write about it.  I love everything about this!

Look what I brought home with me from Bangkok!

Nice, right?  My doc says it’s a combination of about 30 hours of airplane travel, airport hiking and  climbing stairs dozens of times a day fetching and carrying.  It’s sore but there’s no real damage and it’s rapidly getting better.  NOTE TO SELF – Get a pedicure!!!

I’m linking with Ginny’s Yarn Along and Wake Up Wednesday today.  Skip over and pay them a visit.  You’ll be glad you did!
