Hi ya’ll and welcome to Whatcha Workin’ On? Wednesday #70. I hope you’ll share your WIPs and enjoy your visit!
ON MY NEEDLES
Fall 2006 Knitty
As for the Kew socks, they’re a favorite, I think this is at least the third pair I’ve knitted, but it never fails to challenge me. It usually takes at least three false starts before I can settle into the groove of the pattern, but my patience is always rewarded in the end.
Cloud Chaser has been on my radar for a long time, I love cables and this vest has plenty. I finally found the perfect yarn in the perfect color – I swear that certain patterns seem to whisper their approval when the perfect yarn is found. If I try to force it, by settling for a “nearly perfect” yarn, nothing ever works and the project more often than not ends up abandoned or conveniently “misplaced”, usually at the bottom of a nearly forgotten, rarely used knitting bag tossed into the back of the closet. Does anyone else find this true??
THIS WEEK I’M READING
Actually, this is not completely true; not much reading or knitting being done since Emma arrived, only a few minutes snatched here and there throughout the day. Baby Emma and Big Mommy were discharged today so I expect things will settle down into a more normal routine in a few days.
