Hey guys! Welcome to Monday Mashup 9/5/16!
You’re looking at what’s left of my Surrounding Sweater.😭
It was finished – finished except for the bindoff, but I just wasn’t happy with it. The stitches were too loose (something that I noticed back at the very beginning but chose to ignore), the armholes WAY too big and just overall, I could see it just wasn’t going to work for me. Soooooo…….I frogged it, rewound the yarn, went down a needle size (from the recommended size 4 to a size 3) and started a do over. It’s a good thing that I’m a process knitter, I tend to enjoy the actual creation of something more than the final product – a lot of my FOs end up as gifts or donations – so it’s not a tragedy when a project ends up back in the frog pond.🐸🐸🐸
The Bangkok countdown continues – 13 days. I’ve started a couple of lists, mostly what will be in my carry-on and what will be in my checked luggage. I can have two checked bags, one will have my clothes and the other will have yarn. Really. Ooooooh! That’s another list I can start! Can’t correctly pack yarn without a list! The weight limit is 50 lbs. per bag. That’s a lot of yarn!
Mr. Iknead and I’ve finally agreed to ditch our old couch and get some new furniture, a new small recliner for me (I know, I’m old) and to replace the couch, a chair and a half, since we need a bit of seating, but not a whole couch worth. This is the chair we decided on –
and this is the chair and a half –
Six to eight weeks before delivery because of the custom upholstery, hopefully when I get back home from my trip they’ll be here.
Enough Monday Mashup. I’m linking up with Merry Monday this morning – don’t forget to pay them a visit!
