Monday Mashup 8/29/16

Hurray for pottery class day!  Just one more reason to get excited!  I have a big pot that is scheduled for the raku kiln this morning.  If you’re curious, hop on over here to see what it’s all about or petition the wiki gods to learn more here.  Yes, I’m a bit of a firebug.

Before firing – glazes clockwise from bottom:

The green plate didn’t fare too well, but I love the color!

The Bangkok countdown continues – I leave in 20 days.  I’ll be there to mostly help Big Mommy, but I hope to do at least a little exploring.  I found this app, maybe I’ll give it a try.  Oh, and there’s a yarn shop within a block or two of the hospital.  I’ll be checking it out for sure!!  Knitspeak is universal, you know!

By the way, this is my first experience with international travel – any pointers you share would be appreciated and I’ll be on my own – Mr. iknead will be holding down the fort here at home.  Believe it or not, we have our 37th(!) wedding anniversary on Thursday and we’ve not been apart more than a few days, maybe a week at most, ever.  It will be strange, for sure.
