Excuses, Excuses

I totally get why some people get irritated when when retirees complain talk about how busy they are. But just so you know, I love busy and I’m absolutely NOT complaining!  I’ve added a couple of things to my daily schedule over the past month or so, things that I really enjoy (usually) and I can tell by the end of the day that I’m definitely more active.

Mr. Iknead and I pick up Babydiva from her Mother’s Day Out program twice a week and she stays with us for a couple of hours, usually until the Elf wakes up from her afternoon nap or Babydaddy gets off work.  She is such a joy!  She’s super, super curious, talks a mile a minute and loves loves loves to help her Papa garden.

Then, there’s morning Mass.  Yes, I try my best to go to daily Mass.  I’ve found that it really centers my day and helps me to be a kinder, gentler version of myself.  Still working on the swearing at idiot other drivers thing, though.  Some habits are really hard to break!

I’ve also been ramping up my walking program since Spring has finally arrived.  There’s a three mile loop down at the river that I enjoy walking.  It also doesn’t hurt that the trailhead is only about a half mile from the church and I can go directly there after Mass.  I love the two birds with one stone concept!

I’m linking with Snickerdoodle Sunday today.

Intuition is the supra-logic that cuts out all the routine processes of thought and leaps straight from the problem to the answer.  Robert Graves
