I’m suddenly obsessed with crocheted flowers after seeing this this! The tutorial is here.
I’ve started limbering up my long unused crochet skills in anticipation of the arrival of a new set of hooks and a bunch of bright, happy Dishie cotton yarn from Knitpicks. Here’s a peek at one of my first practice flowers.
A little wonky and still needs practice, but not too shabby for a 20 year (at least) hiatus. 😀. This is going to be so cute in my kitchen window!!
OFF MY NEEDLES BUT NOT COMPLETED
My ginormous Stornaway Throw is complete, but needs blocking. It is so big that I had to order more blocking pads. Now I’m trying to find enough space for the actual blocking. If we get another sunny day, it just may have to block outside. It’s huge!
ON MY NEEDLES
A hat using my handspun and dyed yarn. Picture to follow tomorrow for WIP Wednesday. I promise.
ONE MORE THING
A few weeks ago, I ordered a kit from Craftsy, got started on it and then found that the kit was a tiny bit short on fabric. Frustrating, I know. Anyway, I got in touch with customer service to see if I could get more fabric, thinking I’d have to pay for the extra yardage. Nope, the super nice Craftsy lady sent me a complete replacement kit – for free!! Thank you Craftsy! Your customer service rocks!
I’m linking today with Frontier Dreams.
