ON MY NEEDLES
This project continues to move along, but slowly. The cabled border is officially halfway done; I love it, but it’s not something that flows off the needles like water. Looks good, though, doesn’t it, even unblocked. 😀
WHAT’S NOT ON MY NEEDLES (NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH OFF MY NEEDLES)
Christmas knitting. None. I had the desire and the skills, but none of my intended Christmas projects gelled. After becoming more and more frustrated, I realized that trying to force something creatively is the quickest and surest way to suck all the joy out of the whole creative process. So I frogged. And I’m not sorry. 😱 My frog pond post is here.
WHAT I’M READING
My choices are, as ever, all over the map:
A Minute in the Church by Gus Lloyd
A Checklist for Murder by Anthony Flacco
The Chimes by Charles Dickens
The Girl Who Slept With God by Val Brelinski
Twitter for Dummies by Laura Fitton, Anum Hussain and Brittany Leaning
IT WILL BE CHRISTMAS AND IT WILL BE MERRY, BUT…..
This is our first Christmas without the whole fam damly. The Bangkok branch will be….yep, in Bangkok and will be in touch through the magic of the internet, but Mr. Iknead and I have missed them just a tiny bit more than usual the past few weeks, looking at photos from the past holidays, with all of us under the same roof, however temporarily. But, it will be OK, with more attention lavished (if that’s possible) on the Babydiva and the Elf and July will eventually roll around with their visit. 🎉🎉🎉
I do have it on good authority that since I’ve been a VERY good girl this year, there just may be a new Apple device waiting for me under the tree! 🍎🍎🍎
GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS!!!!!
Thanks to everyone who visited and linked up with Whatcha Workin’ On? last week! As usual, I’m blown away by everyone’s creativity and projects! Keep it coming!
More linky parties to love –
