Monday Mashup #4

TODAY’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS

I was up early this morning (I’m an early riser anyway) to bake this cake –

Today’s the last pottery class until the first week in January ūüôĀ and we always have a potluck on the last day. ¬†Fortunately, they are having open studio over the break, so I won’t go into full blown pottery withdrawal.

SATURDAY FUN

CeCe and I spent the day finishing our fish paintings and then went to 5:00 Mass together AND scored an awesome parking spot near the door. ¬†Christ the King has some construction going on and unless you want to walk a couple of ¬†blocks, good spaces are few and far between. ¬†Here’s my finished creation-

THE DOCUMENTED LIFE PROJECT

Getting caught up slowly but surely. ¬†This week’s art challenge was to create a storyboard. ¬†I’m not sure how much of a story mine tells, since the idea I start with in my head has absolutely zero chance of actually happening. ¬†Ideas are not the problem, but getting an idea from my head onto the canvas is.

I suppose you could call this Birth of a Day.

ONE MORE THING

Mr. Iknead and I have a couple of huge plants that just don’t fare well when we have to bring them in for the winter. ¬†With this in mind, we decided to check out putting up a portable greenhouse – which is really just a tent. ¬†We ordered one from Amazon and put it up yesterday.

So, think it’ll work?

I’m linking up with these great parties today. ¬†Pay them a visit yourself and get ready to be inspired!
