OFF MY NEEDLES
Sparkly Sockhead Hat, modeled by the Papoose
The Papoose is not a big fan of having her picture taken, so I’m doubly happy with these two. I think I’ll always have some rendition of Sockhead on the needles. It’s the perfect take along project, with its ribbing and then inches and inches of stockinette. My peeps in the regular Sunday night meeting were following my progress to the finish like a horse race. See, I was right all along. Knitting IS exciting! 😬🏇🏻🏆

ONE MORE THING
All the grands have a huge lip goo jones (just like yours truly, who never leaves home without it). My magic words when fusses break out or meltdowns start melting? “Who needs chapstick??”, then I whip it out (I alway have at least one or two within arms reach), the happy dances break out and it’s rainbows and unicorns once again. Seriously. I caught the Sprout sneaking a little goo today. I love her little smile, she thinks she’s hit the chapstick jackpot.
The Sprout having some QT with coconut flavored Eos.
The Papoose turns five today. Time really does fly.

Go ahead, look again at the photos at the top of the page. Yep, same kid, more beautiful than ever. Happy birthday Papoose! We only thought we were happy before you came along!
The belief that youth is the happiest time of life is founded upon a fallacy. The happiest person is the person who thinks the most interesting thoughts, and we grow happier as we grow older. William Phelps It’s a party and YOU are invited!
