ON MY NEEDLES
Hello Yarn’s Cable Twist Socks, using Crazy Zauberball #1699. As usually, sock knitting in my world doesn’t officially start until I’ve cast on, knitted a round or three, frogged and then restarted at least once. This pair is over that initial hump and hopefully knitting will go smoothly from here on out. Incidentally, this is my first project using Zauberball and I’m finding it very “sticky”, having had to untangle it from itself more than once so far. Love the colors, though, and that makes up for any aggravation.
WHAT I’M READING
The Street by Ann Petry and The Assassination of Margaret Thatcher, short stories by Hilary Mantel and I’ve checked out Jeanette Walls’ The Silver Star. I read The Glass House a few years ago and enjoyed it very much, so I’m looking forward to starting this one.
I’m loving Twinchies – 2×2 inch projects, here’s one I did today –
2×2 inch canvas, watercolor, spray mask, Distress ink, stencil, stamp and bookpaper
BACK TO SCHOOL
Mr. IKnead and I are heading to Stuttgart tomorrow morning for Grandparents Day at the Papoose’s school. i’m looking forward to her giving us the grand tour. She’ll be well represented, with both sets of grandparents there. Fun!
